Optimal Cultured Medium for Callus Induction from Anthers of Vegetable Soybean

　Vegetable soybean cultivars Kaohsiung No.2 and No.3 were used to investigate the optimal medium for callus induction from anthers. The results showed that flower buds with length over 2 mm had anthers with matured pollens or at binucleate microspore stage. Uninucleate microspore stage was always observed in anthers of the flower buds with 2 mm length. The B5 basic medium was found to be the optimal cultured medium in which sucrose (12％),  -naphthaleneacetic acid (1 mg/l) and benzyladenine (8 mg/l) were supplemented.
